About Pet Stories

After leaving the home + interiors trend forecasting industry in 2017, owner and self-taught photographer Emily Kudiersky launched Pet Stories with a vision to capture all the best bits of owning a pet.

What started as a therapeutic practise, capturing her own dog Ted at any unforced opportunity, resulted in Emily discovering a niche and candid approach to pet photography.

Emily learnt how to capture Ted’s one of a kind personality and all of his quirks and habits that were ever so dearly cherished. Emily’s new-found approach led to a fascination in capturing not just pet personalities, but the one-of-a-kind bonds they shared with their owners too.

Emily’s intrigue lies in how pets make us feel. They comfort us, cuddle us, play with us, keep us fit, and it's these everyday rituals of owning a pet that are documented in a Pet Stories shoot - rituals that become memories to look back on and cherish.

Now, with (Pet Stories mascot) Alan the Cypriot rescue dog by her side, Emily is based in Sheffield, but works across the UK and internationally photographing pets and their people.

Working with Brands

The ‘Pet Stories style’ of photographing pets and their people in such a candid way, has inspired a new approach to content creation for brands.
With a ‘send and shoot’ service, Emily sources pet and human models, takes the product to them, and creates content which is authentic, unforced and original to the brand.
Emily has met and photographed over 500 pets and has worked with a range of influential brands; ranging from big names such as Butternut Box, Katkin, Different Dog, Four & Sons Magazine and James Wellbeloved. As well as smaller independents like Nina Woof, Pawness, Scout’s Honour and Bark & Tumble.
